  3. PREMBLE STRUCTURE

  4. TEACHERS INTRODUCTION 1. Sanjay Singhal 2. Sr.Lecturer CSE Dept.HCST. 3. Room 10 4. 09695913155 5.sai_singhal@rediffmail.com 6. MEETING HOURS–1 hour on all week days between extended lunch break 4

  5. HOLLISTIC FIX OF Mobile Computing • PREREQUISITES • Minimum (required) prerequisites include • programming ability • understanding of basic computer and telephone system hardware • Basic concept of operating system • Deep Knowledge of computer networks subject.(Second year • subject) • Basic Knowledge of Computer programming language – C Language (First year subject).

  6. HOLLISTIC FIX………Continued • PRE REQUISTES • (8th Semester) • Basic Principles ofcommunication. • Transmission fundamentals. • radio waves fundamentals . • Fundamental topics in algorithm (will Used in Unit -3 for routing)

  7. ADVANCE COURSE (7th-8th SEM+Graduation based)) • Cryptography and network security(7th Sem-branch CSE &IT) • Mobile Computing(8th Sem-branch CSE &IT) • Distributed System(8th Sem-branch CSE &IT) • CCNA Certification (After graduation) • MCP Certification (After graduation). • MCSE Certification (After graduation) • A+ certification (After graduation)-hardware based • Linux network administrator (After graduation). • Web Security(C-DAC course -After graduation). • Main frame computing(IBM). HOLLISTIC FIX OF DC………Continued

  8. SCOPE IN RELATED FIELDS… • Telecommunication area • Mobile & its related companies • Networking(Implementation of LAN at workplace) • internet( small ‘i’) implementation • Internetworking(capital “I”) • Mobile Communication(Wi-fi and Wi-max) • Wireless Technologies. • BPO technical engg.) HOLLISTIC FIX OF DC…….Continued

  9. Key Concepts Related To Computer Networks Block Diagram of CN A sample network diagram

  10. Phone line bridged to Ethernet The diagram below shows three computers in two different rooms connected using HPNA/Phone Line networking and standard Ethernet networking.  There is a network bridge between the HPNA network and the Ethernet network.  The HPNA phone line adapter shown are USB.  The blue cables represent standard phone cables, the green ones are Ethernet and the the orange is a USB connection.  Note:  The phone line can be used at the same time as the HPNA network.

  11. Transmission Path & Repeater • Main cause for degradation of pulse is noise • Regenerative repeaters are used to get the pulse in its original form

  12. Modulation Modulation is a technique where the properties of a carrier wave changes in accordance with the digital data.

  13. Multiplexing

  14. Synchronization Transmitter & receiver section of the Communication Equipment should behave sequentially

  15. Error Control Coding Coding is done to remove the interference CHARLIE TO ALPHA!!!!!! CHARLIE TO ALPHA!!!!!!! The interference can cause the distortion of data. Once the coding is done, data becomes error free & can be detected uniquely

  16. Research areas in cluster of Mobile & Telecommunication: • Fast and collision free Multiple Access to transmission channel • To reduce the complexity & cost of Receiver & Transmitter used in CN components. • To reduce the noise to a zero level • Efficient long range communications • To increase the Channel Capacity Technologies of CDMA & GSM in use Mobile & Telecommunication Industries KEY RESEARCH AREA OF Mobile Computing
