Outline • What will the FETS be? • How is it going to be developed? • Milestones and schedule.
A commodity-software based Data management system Web interface Mapping utility Routine data imports and exports. Simple queries to zero in on needed fire emissions info. Pre-burn entry of planned fire events (Rx first; Ag & NFR eventually). Support Regional Coordination and SMPs Post-burn uptake of data for unplanned fire events (wildfire and WFU). QC’d data for historical inventories. Integrated with TSS. What will the FETS be?
Date of burn Burn location Area of burn Fuel Type Pre-burn fuel loading Type of burn NAT/ANTH Others: Emission Reduction Technique Data to support Annual Emission Goal efforts Essential Data Elements
How will the FETS be developed? • By a specific part of the Technical Support System Project Team • Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA – CSU) (prime TSS contractor to WGA) • Technical oversight • provide access to the FETS through the TSS • Air Sciences Inc. (subaward through CIRA) • Primary development of FETS • Development of fire data review and analysis tools within the TSS
How will the FETS be developed? • According to detailed technical Workplan • Air Sciences to draft • CIRA and FEJF review • Critical technical pieces will be identified for Strawman process (conducted through the FEJF) • Air Sciences – propose Strawman • Stakeholders – review and comment; conf calls • Air Sciences – integrate review into technical approach/method and implement
