Points of Information • Points of information may be offered after the first minute but prior to the last minute of any speech. • The debater giving the speech has the authority to accept or refuse the offer of a point of information. • If the offer of a point of information is accepted, the person offering the point has a maximum of fifteen seconds to make the point. • The norm is for a speaker to accept a minimum of two points of information. • Rarely does a speaker accept more than three points of information.
