  1. On this basis the perspectives for the TRANSTEC Exhibitions and Conferences “Future of the Russian Ports” have been studied by ASOP and its special Committees and experts. The ASOP Committee responsible for investment programs for the development of port infrastructure in its session in Moscow in 2009 has recommended the conversion of the “TRANSTEC” Exhibitions and Conferences “Future of the Russian Ports” into a global platform. This platform will provide the foundation for the promotion of cooperation with national and international state administrations, ports, investors and structures of other modes of transport to develop port and adjacent transport infrastructure and superstructure.  Welcome to our 2nd Conference “Future of the Russian Ports” and “TRANSTEC” Exhibition • ASOP President Terekhov O.A.

  2. Russian inland waterways and sea-river ports play the most important role in providing the foreign trade and transit potential of Russia. The Program of the Ministry of Transport of Russia “Inland Waterway Transport” in developing inland waterways ports will also develop the modern and cost-effective transport infrastructure necessary to accelerate trade mobility and reduce the costs of transport expenses to the economy. The TRANSTEC 2010 Exhibitionand the Conference “Future of the Russian Ports” will directly assist in the promotion of the transport potential of Russia, the potential for transit development, modernization of the port infrastructure and port handling equipment in the inland waterways. These initiatives have international significance in providing the basis for the renewal of the cargo and passenger fleets, the improvement of reliability and safety for the inland waterways and the reconstruction and upgrading of the port structures. • PRESIDENT OF THE ASSOCIATION OF INLAND WATERWAYS PORTS ZAITSEV A.M.

  3. TRANSTEC welcomes the high-level speakers and delegates from the International Association of Ports and Harbors-IAPH, the European Sea Port Organization-ESPO, ILO UN Port Sector and the Shanghai International Port Group among many others.

  4. TRANSTEC is included in the list of priority exhibitions by the Decision of the Governor of St. Petersburg for the year 2010

  5. TRANSTEC is traditionally supported by the Maritime Collegium of the Government of Russia, Ministry of Transport of Russia, ROSMORPORT FSUE, transport and maritime Authorities and business Associations of Russia and St. Petersburg

  6. TRANSTEC Exhibitions and the 2nd Port Conference 2010 are traditionally organized in St. Petersburg- The Maritime Capital of Russia

  7. The Committee on Transport and Transit policy supervises the development of the transport complex of St. Petersburg. Its activity is directed to increase freight traffic and passenger traffic within the transport complex of St. Petersburg, to maximize the city role as an international transport and transit center, to increase the volume of transport services for export-import operations and to improve the environment for state and private investments in St. Petersburg transport infrastructure development.

  8. The Mayors of Rotterdam in 2007 and 2009 have been warmly welcomed guests at our maritime exhibitions in St. Petersburg as the biggest center for maritime and transport events

TRANSTEC-2010 and the 2nd Future of Russian Ports Conferencewill be a platform for the business Program devoted to the celebration of the 125th anniversary of the foundation of the oldest Russian Research Institute in the field of the development of port infrastructure and sea transport “LENMORNIIPROJECT”

In 2010 TRANSTEC will welcome also the 2-nd North Transport Forum which will discuss and display the huge transport projects to develop the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous district of Russia as the leading region for land-based extraction and transportation of natural resources, facing also the Arctic seas and Northern Sea Route: projects include road construction within the framework of the State Federal Program "Urals Polar-Urals Industrial",the 2 level bridge construction over the Ob river, the new railway construction from Salekhard (Capital of Yamal)- to Nadym City to connect the Yamal area with the existing railway network
