  2. Example • The following minerals are among the world’s major sources of the element silver: AgCl, Ag3AsS3, Ag2S, Ag5SbS4. Arrange these minerals in order of increasing tonnage that must be processed to get a given weight of silver. (Assume all the silver can be extracted.)

  3. Example • Write a balanced equation for the reaction in which HBr is oxidized by OF2 to form Br2, HF, and H2O. Compute the number of grams of elemental bromine that can be formed when 9.71 grams of HBr is oxidized in this reaction by excess OF2 .
