  5. Project Planning • Clearly defining outcomes sought and identifying needs to be addressed • Drawing on available experience and expertise • Identifying resources and likely actions • Agreeing a timeframe and critical path • Risk assessment • Option Analysis

  6. Project Planning & Implementation • Monitoring progress • Management systems • Involving stakeholders • Feedback mechanisms • Equality issues covered • Exit and contingency strategies agreed • Costs/benefits analysis

  7. Mainstreaming ‘What Works’ • Initial commitment from main service providers • Capturing lessons learned • Disseminating information • Seeking Central Government support • Training front-line staff • Better engaging communities

Do we know what crime and disorder reduction action is undertaken locally? • Are there systems in place to ensure transparent, informed allocation of funds? • Are there regular reviews of progress? • Has the Partnership agreed monitoring and reporting systems? • Do targeted beneficiaries have regular opportunities to report on the impact of work undertaken • Does the Partnership have the capacity needed to deliver?
