Japanese-Language Proficiency Test • ระดับ 1 - มีความรู้ทางไวยากรณ์ขั้นสูงผ่านการเรียนมาแล้วอย่างน้อย 900 ชม. รู้จักคำศัพท์อย่างน้อย 10000 คำ อักษรคันจิ 2000 ตัว • ระดับ 2 - มีความรู้ทางไวยากรณ์ในเกณฑ์ดี สามารถอ่านและเขียนได้ ผ่านการเรียนมาแล้วอย่างน้อย 600 ชม. รู้จักคำศัพท์อย่างน้อย 6000 คำ อักษรคันจิ 1000 ตัว • ระดับ 3 - มีความรู้ทางไวยากรณ์ค่อนข้างจำกัด สนทนาในชีวิตประจำวันได้ เขียนและอ่านประโยคง่ายๆได้ ผ่านการเรียนมาแล้วอย่างน้อย 300 ชม. รู้จักคำศัพท์อย่างน้อย 1500 คำ อักษรคันจิ 300ตัว • ระดับ 4 - มีความรู้ทางไวยากรณ์ขั้นพื้นฐาน ผ่านการเรียนมาแล้วอย่างน้อย 150 ชม. รู้จักคำศัพท์อย่างน้อย 800 คำ อักษรคันจิ 100 ตัว
