Emergency Response • Response to the Siren • Shelter In Place – seek shelter/stay put • Use Reasonable Judgment • Cover • Access Message Alert System

Emergency Response • Initial Emergency Response Messages • Active Shooter – Shelter in place • Hostage – Shelter in place • Hazardous Material – Shelter in place • City-wide Hostile event – Shelter in place • Severe Weather – Shelter in place (using reasonable judgment regarding personal safety and the safety of others)
Emergency Response • Siren • Sounds for approximately 90 seconds • Initial Alert Message System activated • No All Clear Signal– Will be released from location by local law enforcement.
Emergency Response • Personal Safety • Shelter in Place (Stay put) – if not in harm’s way • Use reasonable judgment • Do not leave location until directed to do so • Additional messages contingent upon duration and severity of the event
