  3. Boolean Operators OR Using or expands the search. The computer gives documents in which either or both keywords appear. Use with similar terms. adolescents or teens or young adults college or university

  4. Boolean Operators AND NOT Limits the search by returning documents only on your 1st keyword. Use when a term may have several meanings or you want to eliminate frequent terms. saturn AND NOT car pepsi AND NOT coke bass AND NOT fish

  5. Combining Strategies Using More than one Boolean Operator AND and OR Boolean Operators (Careers or Jobs) AND medicine (Chevy or Ford) AND engines AND NOT with other Boolean Operators Saturn AND NOT (car or automobile) Bass AND NOT (music or instruments)
