  4. Activity: • Using the prompt that you received, create an argument using the Toulmin model

  5. Rogerian Model • Know your audience • Establish common ground • Introduce the premise • Explain shared premise • Intro/Develop position • Consider objections • Find places of agreement

  6. Warm-Up • Create a paragraph (in this case, at least 5 sentences) using each of the vocabulary words correctly in each sentence. Each word must be used once. • remonstrance • incendiary • repartee • ubiquitous • venerable
