User Group • PaILS Bylaws • Serve as a forum to influence the development and improvement of the Pennsylvania Integrated Library System for the benefit of Pennsylvania Integrated Library System User Group members. • Foster and improve communication and relationships among members, and between members. • Gather and share information on the use of the Pennsylvania Integrated Library System products among members. • Coordinate and prioritize member requests for development, documentation and support of the Pennsylvania Integrated Library System.

  18. User Group • Nominations for President via SurveyMonkey soon. • Anyone can nominate. • Can self-nominate. • Election in mid-June. • When voting occurs, voting rules will apply. • Top vote-getter gets President. • Runner-up gets VP.

  20. Strategic Plan Priorities • Formalize Relationships with Other Library Service Organizations including, but not limited to, HSLC, IDS, KINBER. • Address Broadband Connectivity Statewide • Explore Additional Funding Source for New Service Initiatives

  21. Strategic Plan Priorities • Who should be on the PaILS Board? • Encourage User Group to organize. • Charter Cataloging and Circulation / Patron Experience Committee

  22. Strategic Plan Priorities • Modify Bylaws to Provide More Equitable Representation in SPARK User Group. • Add staff if possible for training, support, development, and database management. • Reassess Equinox service at least every three years. • Establish more equitable membership fee model.

  23. Strategic Plan Priorities • Develop new membership agreement that establishes expectations of members. •  Continue to Focus on Services for Public Libraries • Increase Staff and Member Participation in the Evergreen Community

  24. Strategic Plan Priorities • Implement a common cataloging standard, system-wide loan rules and fine policies, and common user interface. • Establish a system-wide Bibliographic Record Deduplication Project. • Implement resource sharing on a limited, regional basis.
