This was accomplished with Spectcl once again, which served as a third way to find the mystery source. We used trigonometry to trace the path that the particle took. Pan, we can. Pan, we can. Before experimenting, every student learned the basics of nuclear chemistry through hands-on activities. This included fusion with magnetic nuclei models and learning about radiation. PAN, we can. Pan, we can. • Using the oscilloscope as a team, we interpreted the graph and found the position of the source in the MoNA bar. By plotting the previous data in a graph, we were able to finally predict the source of a randomly placed object. The oscilloscope showed both the signal’s strength and timing, which can be interpreted into location. We used the program Spectcl to observe timing intervals and find an alternate solution to predict the location of a mystery source. It recorded the timing and position of neutrons. By taking several samples of times and positions, we could find more accurate information.
