Reminders – Fall Due Dates • November 1 Last Day for Removal of “I” grades for Spring and summer 2013 • November 1 Theses and dissertations due to Grad Student Services • November 8 Deadline to submit petition for admission to doctoral program by students currently enrolled in master’s & graduating Fall 2013 Graduate Assembly

Current Status - Fall 2013 • 4,610 headcount (down 8.6%) • 4,213 Classified Graduate Students (down 9.1%) • 2943 (64%) full time; 1,667 (36%) part time • 1,439 Doctoral; 2,561 Masters • 941 International Students (20.4% of population) • 2,011 enrolled for 8 or more units (43.6%) • 1,328 Graduate Assistants (up 5) • Achievement Scholarships about $1,500,000 • ($1,016,000 through Graduate Division) • UHF Scholarships = $410,000 Graduate Assembly

  13. Establish Departmental Process Re-examine current process • Is it thorough? • Does it provide appropriate feedback to student? • Does it allow students to provide feedback about the program? • Is career guidance provided? Graduate Assembly

  14. Reports to Grad Ed • Two reports submitted to Office of Graduate Education: • One report confirms reviews and lists names of students making satisfactory progress • The other report details unsatisfactory progress for individual students. Graduate Assembly

  15. Timeline for Reporting • PhD student reviews are conducted in early Spring semester • Program reports are due to Office of Graduate Education by semester’s end Graduate Assembly
