Curriculum / Syllabus • Pre-SAT • Aimed at 5th / 6th Grade Students • Targeting 8th Grade to Pre-Algebra Mathematics Curriculum • SAT • Aimed at 7th – 9th Grade Students • Targeting Algebra I / II Mathematics Curriculum • Basic Trigonometry (Time Permitting) Pre-SAT Mathematics - HTCC Education Team

Pre-SAT Curriculum • Pecent, Ratio and Proportions • Simple 1- and 2-step Equations • Angles & Relationships • Simple Geometry • Polygons & Circles, Area, Perimeter • 3D Geometry Basics • Shapes, Surface Areas, Volumes • Coordinate Geometry • Linear Equations, Slopes/ Gradients HTCC Education Team

  6. Pre-SAT Curriculum • Pythagorean Theorem • Basic Concepts • Inequalities • Introduction to System of Equations • Basic Word Problems • Provided throughout assignments and combines mathematical concepts discussed above HTCC Education Team

  10. Schedule • Prompt start on Sundays 11am • Students should be ready to start with Homework handed in from prior week by 10.55am • Only 1 hour • Approx.15 mins after class for questions HTCC Education Team

Homework • Goals • Emphasis on reinforcement of material learnt during class • Extra challenge • Essential preparation for mid-term and finals • 10-30 questions on most weeks depending on subject matter and complexity • Multiple Choice or Open-Ended • Made available online for download • PDF or MS Word HTCC Education Team

Homework (contd.) • Study Notes are sometimes provided • Students should take notes in class as well • Parents need to ensure receipt and timely completion • Email if not received or unable to access documents • Email addresses: • Primary as parents • Secondary (optional) kids HTCC Education Team
