The Miracle Of Life!! And The Plea Of An Unborn Child… Mother Let Me Live! “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is His reward.” ♫ Turn on your speakers! (Psalm 127:3).
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee.” Jeremiah 1:4,5 KJV
What constitutes a “Live Human Being”? Define "Alive" Alive means that this being is growing, developing, maturing, and replacing its own dying cells. Define "Human" Human means one of the biological beings who belongs to the species Homo Sapiens. Such beings are unique from all other beings in that they have 46 human chromosomes in every cell. Such beings do not belong to the rabbit family, the carrot family, etc. Define "Person" Person is defined in at least a dozen different ways, according to the field or discipline in which you define it. In theology it usually means when the soul is created.
Define “Human Life” This is the question that must first be considered, pondered, discussed, and finally, answered. It cannot be brushed aside or ignored. It must be faced and met honestly. Upon its answer hinges the entire abortion question. In a sense, nothing else really matters. If what is growing within the mother is not human life, if it is just a piece of tissue — a glob of protoplasm — then it deserves little respect or consideration. So, the question is: "Is this human life?" As we will see, the answer clearly is Yes. That answer is a medical and scientific one, for we cannot impose a religious or philosophic belief in our nations through force of law. The second question is:"Should we grant equal protection by law to all living humans in our nation?" or, "Should we allow discrimination against entire classes of living humans?" —The unborn! -- Excerpts of “Why Can’t We Love Them Both”by Dr. and Mrs. J.C. Willke
When Does Life Begin? “There is no greater pivotal moment in our growth and development than when 23 chromosomes from our father join with 23 chromosomes from our mother to form a unique, new biologic entity who heretofore simply had not existed.” “There is no more appropriate moment to begin calling a human "human" than the moment of fertilization. And don't let anyone tell you otherwise, because it would be a degradation of factual embryology to say it would be any other moment. And to say that "size" is a determinant of humanity, of course, is an unscientific reason to deny an embryo his or her human status. In any event, it is an embryological reality, which no embryology textbook on earth denies, that at the moment of fertilization a new human being is formed.” Dr. Fritz Baumgartner, MD FERTILIZATION = CONCEPTION The sperm and egg join in the fallopian tube to form a unique human being -- that's 46 combined chromosomes which pre-determine all of a person's physical characteristics. Washed into the uterus, the developing embryo searches for a nice place to implant and is only one-sixth of an inch long, but growing quickly. And so begins a wonderful new life:A baby!
“I have learned from my earliest medical education that human life begins at the time of conception. I submit that human life is present throughout this entire sequence from conception to adulthood & any interruption at any point constitutes a termination of a human life.” --Dr. Jerome DeLejoune, genetics professor at the University of Descartes in Paris (Discoverer of the Down Syndrome Chromosome) Intelligence & personality – the way you think & feel were already in place within your genetic code. At the moment of conception you were essentially & uniquely you.
“The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath He made mention of my name.” Isaiah 49:1 KJV
The First Trimester When most abortions are performed. The heart, no larger than a poppy seed, has been beating since day 18, and by 21 days it is pumping, through its own closed circulatory system, blood whose type is different from the mother’s. Four weeks after fertilization the eye, ear and respiratory systems begin to form and thumb sucking has been photographed within the first month by scientists. Did you know? The baby at the fetal stage savors its mother's meals, picking up the food tastes of a culture in the womb.
By 8 weeks the embryo grows to 1/2 an inch, the major muscles system develops and he moves gracefully like a good swimmer although the mother can't feel it yet. This tiny human is perfectly developed with long, tapering fingers, feet and toes and whose skin is almost transparent with a highway of delicate arteries and veins visible to the ends of the fingers. By 10 weeks, 20 tiny baby teeth are forming in the gums, he squints, swallows, moves his tongue, and if you stroke his palm, will make a tight fist. The toes will develop in the next few days and brain waves can be measured and he will react to loud noises.
And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant…my God shall be my strength. --Isaiah 49:5 KJV
By the second trimester, the baby is now in its fetal stage and measures 2 1/2 to 3 inches in length. Fully formed, the heart rate can be heard with a special instrument called a Doppler and just as adults, the fetal baby can experience the rapid eye movement (REM) sleep of dreams. From 12 weeks, they can stretch, kick and leap around the womb - well before the mother can feel movement. The body is more complex than ours. The fetal baby has several extra parts to his body which he needs only so long as he lives inside his mother. He has his own space capsule, the amniotic sac. He has his own lifeline, the umbilical cord, and he has his own root system, the placenta. These all belong to the baby himself and not to his mother, all developed from his original cell.
The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. JOB 33:4
SHOCKING FACT! Since Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in all 50 states, the U.S. government reports that more than 43 million abortions have been performed on some 27 million women. It's estimated that approximately 43 percent of women who've reached the age of 45 have had an abortion.
Never, in modern times — except by a small group of physicians in Hitler’s Germany and by Stalin in Russia — has a price tag of economic or social use-fullness been placed on an individual human life as the price of its continued existence. Never, in modern times — except by physicians in Hitler’s Germany — has a certain physical perfection been required as a condition necessary for the continuation of that life. Never — since the law of paterfamilias in ancient Rome — has a major nation granted to a father or mother total dominion over the life or death of their child. Never, in modern times, has the state granted to one citizen the absolute legal right to have another killed in order to solve their own personal, social or economic problem. And yet, if this is human life, the U.S. Supreme Court Decision in America and permissive abortion laws in other nations do all of the above. They represent a complete about-face, a total rejection of one of the core values of Western man, and an acceptance of a new ethic in which life has only a relative value. No longer will every human have a right to live simply because he or she exists. -- Excerpts of “Why Can’t We Love Them Both”by Dr. and Mrs. J.C. Willke
At four months the baby is coated with soft downy hair called "lanugo" and comes in at about 6 inches in length and weighing 6 to 7 ounces. Fine hair, eyelashes, and fingerprints are all complete. Awake or asleep, the fetal baby moves 50 times or more each hour exploring his warm, wet compartment by touch. By 20 weeks the baby will have grown to 1 pound or 454g and though still small and fragile he can hear and recognize the mother's voice. He touches his hand to his face, places one hand on the other hand, clasps his feet, places his hand to the umbilical cord and sometimes walks around the womb by pushing off with his feet. By six months the tender skin is now covered by a waxy substance called "vernix" and the baby continues to practice breathing by inhaling amniotic fluid in preparation for the big day when he takes his first breath of air.
Cruel Facts About Partial Birth Abortion • When this type of procedure first became public knowledge, those defending it said it was only done a few hundred times a year. The reality is, this gruesome method of killing partially born babies is done many thousands of times a year. Abortionist, Dr. McMahon, admitted in 1995 to performing over 2000 partial birth abortions. • In a tape-recorded interview to the House Judiciary Committeeabortionist Dr. Martin Haskell admitted: “...the majority of fetuses aborted this way (partial birth abortion) are alive until the end of the procedure.” • While most babies are in their 20th to 24th week when aborted in this manner, babies are aborted as late as the ninth month! This was admitted to by abortionist Dr. McMahon who, in 1995, submitted to the House Judiciary Constitution Subcommittee a graph and explanation that showed he aborted healthy babies even in the third trimester! As disturbing as this sounds, these are the facts. In this country medical doctors are partially delivering babies and then killing them. These babies are inches from being born. Many could be born and placed directly in the loving arms of childless couples for adoption. Instead, they are cruelly killed. • Dr. Haskell said in a tape recorded interview with the AMA’s American Medical News: “...and I’ll be quite frank: most of my abortions are elective (not medically necessary) in that 20-24 week range ... In my particular case, probably 20% are for genetic reasons. And the other 80% are purely elective.”
By Thee have I been holden up from the womb: Thou art He that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of Thee. PSALM 71:6
Ready To Enter The World At nine months the baby settles down lower in the abdomen in preparation for birth and may seem less active. Skin is pink and smooth and the child measures 19 to 20 inches in length. Lungs are mature and at approximately 8 pounds the baby is ready for life outside the womb. “Yet You brought me out of the womb; You made me trust in You even at my mother's breast. From birth I was cast upon You; from my mother's womb You have been my God.” (Psalm 22:9-10)
“A baby is the biggest miracle since the creation of the World!--Another immortal soul that is going to live forever!” “For Thou hast possessed my reins (inward parts, inner self, seat of emotions): Thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance (body) was not hid from Thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts (meaning the womb) of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in Thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.” ”It's worth paying the price of a little sickness & weakness during pregnancy. God is using it to create an immortal soul.” Psalm 139:13-16 KJV -- David Brandt Berg
THE FINAL PRODUCT A baby is a small member of the home that makes love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, the bankroll smaller, the home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten & the future worth living for.
