Literal and Figurative • Literal- Physically on top of (surtax is a tax literally on top of a price) • Figurative- Not physically above (superhero’s are not actually on top of your desk or on top of your house) Last week: Abduct a person-Literal or figurative? Abhor a movie-Literal or figurative?
