  3. Set-up & Factor Set-up Factor Independent Variables: Mass Dependent Variables: Friction Control Variables: Pressure Contact Surface Area Humidity & Temperature • Wooden Block (160g) x5 • Newton Balance x1 • Rope

  4. Experiment • Rope the wooden block with a rope • Pull the first block with Newton Balance • Add one more block on the top • Repeat the action until the last block was added to the top • Record the Max. Friction when the block moves in each test
