  2. Bmx cycling track • The brand new 400-metre BMX Track is located next to the Velodrome in the north of the Olympic Park. • The entire venue covers a total area of 160m by 90m, slightly larger than the size of a football pitch.

  3. The Aquatics centre • The aquatic centre was built in Stratford ,East London. They finished the Aquatics Centre July 2011. the aquatic centre can hold 17,500 people in it. It is a new building and some of the sports that can be held in the Aquatics Centre are the Modern Pentathlon, Synchronised swimming, and diving.

  4. The Basketball Arena • The Basketball Arena is located in North of the Olympic park. It is hosting Basketball, Handball, Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Rugby. The Basketball Arena can hold 12,000 people during the Olympic games 10,000 during the Paralympic games.It will be dismantled after the London 2012 games.

  5. Greenwich Park • Greenwich Park is in South East London on the South bank of the river Thames. It is hosting Equestrian-jumping ,Dressage eventing and Paralympic Equestrian and also Modern Pentathlon. It can hold 23,000 people.The temporary structure will be taken down and the park will turn to the way it was.

  6. Olympic Stadium • The Olympic Stadium is south of the Olympic Park. It will be hosting Athletics and Paralympic Athletics. It can hold 80,000 people. • 55,000 of the 80,000 capacity is removable, which apparently has never been attempted before.

  7. The Handball Arena • The Handball Arena is located in the South West of the Olympic park. It is hosting Handball, Goal balland Modern Pentathlon. It can hold up to 7,000 people. Rainwater collected from the venues roof will be flush to the lavatories and reduce water usage by 40%. It will be adapted to become a multi-use sports centre for the community to use, as well a training centre for athletes and a venue for small to medium sized competitions.

  8. The Water Polo Arena • The water polo arena is located in the Olympic Park. It is hosting Water Polo. It can hold 5,000 people. The Arena will be taken down , although it is expected that materials will be reused or recycled.

  9. Lords Cricket Ground • Lords Cricket Ground is located in North-West London near Regent’s Park. It is hosting archery. It can hold 6,500 people. The ground will go back to being home for the Marylebone Cricket Club and Middlesex County Cricket Club. Archery equipment from the Games will be given to schools across the country

  10. HydePark • Hyde Park is located in the West end of London. It is hosting Triathlon and 10k open water swim. It can hold 3,00 people. The course and the grandstand will be removed after the Olympic Games.

  11. Lee Valley White Water Centre • Lee Valley White Water Centre is located 30Km North of the Olympic Park. It is hosting Canoe Slalom. It can hold up to 12,000 people.Thevenue will remain a Canoe centre open to the public as well as elite athletes, but the temporary seats will all be removed after the Olympic Games
