Vitamin A Deficiency • Healthy eyesight and mucous membranes • Deficiency: • Drying of membranes • Increase in infections • Also poor night vision • Eventual blindness • Increase intake – raw carrot
Vitamin B Deficiency • Normally release energy and nerve function • Deficiency: • Mouth sores • Degeneration of nerve cells • Anaemia – needed for red blood cells • Increase intake – handful of nuts
