  1. VOCABULARY WORDSPEPITA TALKS TWICE Please go over the definitions for these vocabulary words with your student. There will be a test on them on Friday. Language- spoken or written human speech Spanish- a language Enchiladas- tortillas rolled around a filling, then covered with spicy sauce Salsa- a spicy sauce usually made with tomatoes, onions, and peppers Tortilla- a round, flat bread made of corn, from Mexico and Central America Tamales- cornmeal dough wrapped in a corn husk or leaf around a filling and steamed Tacos- tortillas folded around a filling such as ground meat or cheese Created by Mr. Jones

  7. Tamales- cornmeal dough wrapped in a corn husk or leaf around a filling and steamed It is easy to find a tamale vendor in most U.S. cities because they are very good.

  8. Tacos- tortillas folded around a filling such as ground meat or cheese Tacos are family friendly because they are easy to make. Paco ate a taco.
