  2. What is Valorisation? (1) Originally a French term, "valorisation" isa concept which is now widely used and aacceptedintheEuropean educational and training community. It can be described as “the process ofdisseminatingand exploiting the results of projects with a view to • optimising their value, • strengthening theirimpact, • transferring them, integrating them in a sustainable way and • using them actively insystems and practices at local, regional, national and European levels.   3. What is Valorisation? (2) To achieve theseobjectives, "valorisation" must be based on the analysis at an early stage of the requirementswhich a project must meet. It is also essential to ensure the active involvement of potentialend-users and target groups during projects developments. In short, "valorisation" involves disseminating and piloting the most innovative practices,exploiting them, developing them in different contexts and gradually incorporating them intoformal and informal systems of training, into the methods used by businesses andassociations, and into the learning experience of every individual.   4. WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE? To be effective, the process requires: • a focus on end user/target group needs from project commencement; • dissemination of innovative products and results; • selection and analysis oftheir suitability for transfer to meet identified new needs; • translation and adaptation to targeted new contexts; • piloting and experimentation; • fuIl integration into the new context.   5. AT WHAT LEVEL DOES DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION HAPPEN? This process can take place at • the micro project level to address specific requirements in another company, organization etc; or • a macro level, at regional, sectoral, national or European level. The ultimate aim is to achieve full and sustainable integration of previous results and products into local, regional, national and/or European systems and practices. National Agencies have gradually been increasing their valorisation activities to ensure the wider application of completed project results in response to a real demand for innovative materials and best practice. Our Partners and Potential for Dissemination • our partner organizations particularly KOSGEB and ATSO (Adapazarı Chamber of Trade and Industry) have a large portfolio of member companies all over Turkey. • Only the members of KOSGEB count over 22.000 companies in Turkey. • ATSO have more than 600 member companies operating in Sakarya. Hence, the project has a great opportunity in terms of dissemination in Turkey. The same method of dissemination will apply in other partnering countries. • Sakarya University- training for students, i.e. future managersr and entrepreneurs Recai Coşkun- Sakarya Univ. Febr. 2008

So Far What Have Been Done… • An interview with Dr. Seyhan Firat by “Anatolian Agency-AA” about the project • TRT-radio • National Newspapers (Milliyet, Türkiye) • Local Newspaper • Websites-(wellknown news sites) • Visited different institutions representing the industry (MÜSİAD, SESOB) • We have launched our own website (www.inemdip.sakarya.edu.tr) and • a mail group (inemdip@yahoogroups.com) Recai Coşkun- Sakarya Univ. What We Are Going To Do… • Continue to our visit to the commerce and industry organisations • Informing the media about the progress of the project • Inform our students about the project and encourage them to make research and to take courses in this area • Any other suggestions?
