  2. Overview • Monday 7th July 2014 • Stage 3: Cambridge to London 159KM • Responsibilities ASO event organiser TfL event management Waltham Forest – local events

  3. ‘The Caravan’ (170+ vehicles) arrives 2 hours • in advance of the cyclists. • Cambridge City Centre 12:00* • Chelmsford 13:50* • Waltham Forest 14.45* • Olympic Park 14:55* • The Mall 15.30* • *estimated times for cyclists

  4. Procedure on the day • Road closures in place from 10.00 • Caravan arrives 12.45 • Cyclists arrive 14.45 • Clear up • Roads reopen 18.00 • Parking restriction on route from 8am

  5. Public Transport • Buses • Bus services from 9 am to 6 pm will be affected. • Any buses services that cross the route will be suspend or routes changed where possible. • Other bus service near to the route may experience delays with the traffic impacts. • Affected buses: 20, 48, 55, 56, 58, 69, 97, 123, 158, 179, 212, 230, 257, 275, 308, 357, 375, 397, 444, W12, W13, W15, W16, W19. • Tube/Train Services • Services likely to be busier than normal during 12pm – 4pm.

  6. Local Events • Tour de Waltham Forest on 29 June • Leyton Jubilee Park – Sunday 6th July • 7th July view area at Whipps Cross roundabout and Leyton Green.

  7. Key Information • Road closures from 10am and therefore travel in the morning will be largely unaffected. • People will be able to cross the route on foot. • Roads closures not just in Waltham Forest, staff /student travel maybe affect outside of Waltham Forest. • Although the race will go past at approximately 2:45 the clear up and reopening of roads will take longer.
