Catheter: Selection, Manipulation • Left coronary artery: Fajadet left, Kimny radial, Muta Left, Slagboom BU, EBU, Amplatz left, Judkins Left, Multipurpose,… • Right Coronary artery: Barbeau’s, Fajadet Right, Kimny radial, Muta right, Multipurpose, Judkins right, Amplatz right, Amplatz left,… • Both left and right coronary arteries: Kimny radial, Multipupose, Amplatz left • Venous bypass grafts: Kimny radial, Multipurpose, Judkins right, Bypass graft catheters Catheter : Selection Manipulation • Multiple catheters have been proposed by the pioneers of the trans-radial approach. This multitude of choice reflects the initial difficulty encounter by the operators using the catheters dedicated for trans-femoral approach and non adapted for the upper limb approach. However with increasing experience most of traditional curves can be used in routine practice. hamon-m@chu-caen.fr

Manipulation of the right Judkin’s catheter Manipulation Of The Right Judkin’s Catheter Projection for right Catheterization LAO 35°C • After the right Judkins’catheter has been placed in the ascending aorta a gentle clockwise rotation is applied and the right coronary ostium is easely cannulated in the vast majority of cases.

Manipulation of the left Judkin’s catheter Manipulation Of The Left Judkin’s Catheter Projection for left Catheterization Face 0°C • Canulation of the left coronary ostium is more demanding in manipulation. The left Judkins’ Catheter is maintained over the sino-tubular ridge with the 0.35 wire inside and a clockwise rotation is realised asking the patient to take a deep breath. Spontaneously the catheter engaged the left main in the vast majority of cases.
