  3. Main Study Sample • Patients diagnosed with prostate cancer after 7/7/98 and before 1/12/98 • N = 506 • 40 patients from pilot study have already had data extracted • 466 patients’ details still to be accessed • Estimated final sample size = 320 October 2001

  7. How many notes case notes to access? Total No. notes accessed = 466 + 209 + 24 = 699 BUT must go to H1 first for pre-biopsy/presenting PSA October 2001
