  7. Your Assignment Begin with a sketch. Figure out what story you want to tell, what elements you want to combine, layout, etc. Remember Elements and Principles! (always.) Final art will be done on large-ish paper (or surface of your choice that you bring in), MIXED-MEDIA At least 3 different materials Photos/magazines can comprise no more than 20% of the piece (you gotta draw.) You can bring your own materials to work with! Think about alternative surfaces, unlikely materials becoming art. Incorporate sewing, computer parts, organic materials…get crazy!
