Spectrum must be managed, even in a 3G world - Imagine owning a piece of land that you purchased for $30 Billion. You can put one house on it and have a lot of useless acreage, or you can put up as many high-rises as you can fit, and take money from those tenants every month. Which do you want to do? WAP manages spectrum superbly. It is built from the ground up as an efficient, lean specification that takes advantage of bandwidth without bandwidth taking advantage of it Bandwidth drives innovation - but standards drive development 3GPP - the Third Generation (wireless) Partnering Project is working with WAP, knowing that WAP technology is vital to 3G’s future3G Provides bandwidth, not content This industry LOVES bandwidth - we’ll take all we can get.
