BOBBIN CASE • Holds the bobbin
BOBBIN WINDER • Puts thread on the bobbin

HAND WHEEL • Manually controls the machine
PRESSER FOOT LIFTER • Raises and lowers the presser foot • ALWAYS have the foot DOWN when sewing.
NEEDLE • Takes thread through the fabric
NEEDLE RELEASE • Keeps needle from moving while bobbin is filling Also called Hand Wheel Loosen Knob
PRESSER FOOT • Holds fabric in place • Don’t “pop” it!!!
REVERSE CONTROL • Makes the machine sew backward • (secures stitching)
SEAM GUIDES • Measure distance from needle while sewing
SPOOL PIN • Holds spool of thread
SLIDE PLATE • Covers the bobbin case
STITCHLENGTH REGULATOR • Controls the length of the stitches • Should be on 2.5
STITCH WIDTH CONTROL • Changes machine from straight stitch to zig-zag
TAKE-UP LEVER • Pulls thread off the spool
TENSION UNIT • Controls looseness or tightness of stitches • Don’t change this!!
THREAD GUIDES • Keep thread in place
THROAT PLATE • Covers area under the needle Do not remove.
