Kenya influx • Number received = 10,395 • Majority are women and children • Daily operation continue at the boarder, reception and new site in Kakuma 4 • Measles vaccination continue- No new cases reported as of 21st Jan • MUAC screening at reception continues • GAM =7.9 • SAM =2.8 • Issuance of food token continues • Distribution of food and NFI continues at the new distribution center

Uganda Influx • 85% are women and children • Number of refugees was 59,479 as of 23rd January 2014 • 90% of HH are women headed households • Out of 3765 children screened between 31st Dec to 14th Jan • GAM =3.0 • SAM= 0.5% • 2-3 hot meals are provided at the three different transit centers namely Dzaipi, Nyumanzi and Arua ocean • Mass MUAC screening done this week showed Proxy GAM of 0.9 and SAM of 0.2% • Challenges related to management of SAM and MAM

  6. Ethiopia • Number of refugees =27,767 • Food and not food items prepositioned • Water and basic health and nutrition services in place
