Warm and Healthy Homes Award from National Energy Action

The Warm & Healthy Homes project aims to provide warmer homes and lower energy bills to households living in cold, damp conditions, reducing cold-related illnesses. With funding from the Health Booster fund and partnerships with health providers, the project has successfully installed energy efficiency measures in homes, resulting in improved health outcomes. The Central Heating Fund also offers free central heating systems to eligible County Durham residents, further addressing fuel poverty and improving living conditions.
