  3. Kveim test • Kveim test is a skin test used to detect sarcoidosis where part of spleen from a spleen of a patient with known sarcoidosis is injected into the skin of a patient suspected to have the disease . If granulomas are found (4 – 6 weeks later) , the test is positive

  4. It uses purified protein derivative (PDD). Test is positive , if the size of indurations 5mm,1O mm,1% mm of indurations. Positive result indicates TB response. The test can be read 48 to 72 hours. The reaction is read by measuring the diameter of indurations( palpable raised hardened area) across the forearm perpendicular to the long axis) in millimeters. If there is no indurations , the result should be indicated zero Mantoux testTuberculin test
