Resolutions WMO Three draft resolutions to be discussed: • Resolution 3.1.4/1: Instruments and Methods of Observation Programme • Resolution 3.1.4/2: Report of CIMO-XV- including Annex with proposal for new Terms of Reference for CIMO • Resolution 3.1.4/3: Designation of Regional Marine Instrument Centres Cg-XVI, Doc. 3.1(4)

Draft Resolution 3.1.4/1 (Cg-XVI)IMOP Programme WMO WMO: • To continue collaboration with international organization (ISO, BIPM) in developing and implementing IMOP EC & CIMO: • To guide and assist in implementation of IMOP Regional Associations: • To regularly assess (together with CIMO, JCOMM) RICs, RMICs and RRCs to verify their capabilities and performance • To organize regular Regional Pyrheliometer Intercomparisons • To inform CIMO on particular requirements and prioritities Cg-XVI, Doc. 3.1(4)

Draft Resolution 3.1.4/1 (Cg-XVI)IMOP Programme WMO Members: • To support implementation of IMOP through: • Development of new instruments and observing systems • Participation in instrument intercomparisons and applying results of these intercomparisons • Participation in development of new observing standards, • To promote: • Development of procedures for quality management of observations • Ensure traceability of measurements to SI • Worldwide instrument compatibility through supporting CIMO Testbeds and Lead Centres Cg-XVI, Doc. 3.1(4)

Draft Resolution 3.1.4/2 (Cg-XVI)Report of CIMO-XV WMO This resolution follows-up on recommendations adopted by CIMO-XV: Decides: • To note the report and the resolutions adopted by CIMO-XV • To follow-up on CIMO-XV recommendations: • Recommendation 1: RICs capabilities and communication with Members • Recommendation 2: Terms of Reference of CIMO (Adoption of new Terms of Reference for CIMO as provided in Annex to Resolution) Cg-XVI, Doc. 3.1(4)
