Unit Summary • Students will explore characteristics of objects and attributes that distinguish one object from another. • Students will develop geometry concepts through sorting experiences that allow students to define specific properties or attributes. • Students will sort objects according to two or more attributes and be able to graph the results. • Students will be able to apply this concept to uses in everyday life.

  4. Unit Question • How do we determine how to sort objects? Content Questions • What attributes do the objects share or have in common? • How are these objects similar? • How are these objects different?

  5. Gauging Student Needs Assessment • Purpose of the Assessment To assess the prior knowledge of my students. • What I Will Learn From the Assessment Are students fully comprehending the concept? Are they able to explain how and why objects are sorted? Are they able to expand upon the concept by relating sorting to daily life?
