  3. Discussion Forum Responses Take a look at the last paragraph of Sontag's Regarding the Pain of Others. When she poses the question, "Why should they seek our gaze?", whom is she referring to with "they"? Whom, for that matter, does "we" refer to, when "we" are watching horrifying images?
