Draft • Introduction • Supporting paragraphs • Conclusion
Introduction • Begin with an attention grabber. • Should include what you are going to write about. • Last sentence should be the topic sentence saying what you are going to include in your paper.
Supporting Paragraphs • Include the information you introduced in your introduction. • There is a topic sentence for each paragraph that will introduce what you are going to talk about in each paragraph.
Conclusion • The last paragraph of the paper that summarizes what you talked about in your paper.
Assignment -Before you start writing your draft in class, complete one of the following to support the prewriting process: 1. Brainstorm for the ideas about the topic 2. Free write about the topic 3. List ideas about the topic 4. Cluster to explore the topic
