  2. CODOMINANCE: both alleles are dominant and expressed – in a heterozygous individual the result is that both traits are seen, the phenotype of BOTH alleles is expressed Ex. Cows: Red coat on male (RR) White coat on female (WW) Offspring: RW = a Roan cow, red AND white patches

  3. INCOMPLETE DOMINANCE: both alleles influence the phenotype but neither is dominant – in a heterozygous individual the result is a mix/blend of the traits Ex. Roses: Red petals on flower (RR) White petals on other flower (R’R’) Offspring: RR’ = pink petals RR’ R’R’
