  17. To say your age (or someone else's) say the number in Japanese and add ‘sai’. NUMBER + sai 1. Can you see the difference in pronunciation? 2. How do you pronounce the double ss sound? 3. How do you say your age? Grammar note: Be careful of ages 1, 8, 10 and 20 as they are pronounced differently! Also when saying 9 years old be careful to say Kyuusai not Kusai (this means you are smelly!)
