  2. John 17 John17 ~ The priestly prayer mirrors Numbers 6 as it requests blessing, protection , shalom. John 17:3, 22. This is eternal life , that they may know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom You have sent . I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one. I in them and you in me – so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

  3. John 8 Jesus did only as He heard from the Father. John 8:26. But He who sent me is trustworthy , and what I have heard from him I tell the world. When you have lifted up the Son of Man , then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me. …. For I always do what pleases him.

  4. Voice 1.Psalm 29:4. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. 2.Psalm 29:5. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars ; the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. 3. Psalm 29:7. The voice of the Lord strikes with flashes of lightning.

  5. Voice of the Lord Thunders 4.Psalm 29:9 The voice of he Lord twists the oaks and strips the forest bare. And in His temple all cry , “Glory!” 5.Psalm 18:13 and 2 Samuel 22:14. The Lord thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded. 6. Psalm 29:3. The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over the mighty waters.

  6. Voice of the Lord 7.Numbers 7:89. When Moses entered the tent of meeting to speak with the Lord, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the atonement cover on the ark of the covenant law. In this way the Lord spoke to him. 8. Deut 4:12. Then the Lord spoke to you out of the fire. You heard the sound of words but saw no form; there was only a voice.

  7. Voice of God 9.Deut 5:22. These are the commandments the Lord proclaimed in a loud voice to your whole assembly there on the mountain from out of the fire , the cloud and the deep darkness; and he added nothing more. 10. Deut 5:24. The Lord our God has shown us his glory and his majesty and we have heard his voice from the fire . Today we have seen that a person can live even if God speaks with them.

  8. Voice of Rushing Waters 11. Ezekiel 43:2. I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the roar of rushing waters, and the land was radiant with his glory. 12. Revelation 1:15. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.

  9. Voice of the LordLISTEN TO HIM Mark 9:7. This is my Son, whom I love, listen to Him. Luke 9:35. This is my Son, whom I have chosen, listen to Him. Matthew 17:5. This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to Him.

  10. The Voice of the Lord/Scripture ( Psalms) Psalm 2:7 …You are my Son , today I have become your Father. (The Prophets) Isaiah 42:1…Behold My Servant, My Chosen one in whom my soul delights, I have put my Spirit upon Him and He will bring justice to the nations. (The Law of Moses) Deuteronomy 18:15…The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your countrymen, you shall Listen to Him.

  11. Luke 24:44 He said to them, “ This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, and the Prophets and the Psalms. Law of Moses (DEUT) … ‘LISTEN TO HIM’ Prophets (ISAIAH) ….…… ‘MY CHOSEN ONE’ Psalms……………………….. ‘THIS IS MY SON’

  12. Luke 24:45 Then He opened their minds to understand the Scripture. Luke 24:31. Their eyes were opened. Luke 24:32. Were not our hearts burning.

  13. Physical World /Spiritual World 1. Eyes of the heart …see dreams , visions. 2. Ears of the heart… hear God’s spoken words. 3. Inner Mind…able to ponder and meditate. 4. Inner Will…can make commitments. 5. Inner Emotions…sense and experience emotions of God.

  14. Scripture Related to Five Spiritual Senses 1. Eye……dreams, visions. 2. Ear…hear God, the still small voice. 3. Mind..Luke 2:19 Mary pondered these things in her heart. 4. Will… Acts 19:21.Paul purposed in his spirit to go to Jerusalem. 5. Emotion… Gal 5. Love, joy , peace are all emotions of God.

  15. WORDS We will give an account for every careless, empty, word we speak. Matthew 12:36. Put away all bitterness, rage, anger , slander and malice. Ephesians 4. The godless in heart harbor resentment. Job 36:13.

  16. Silence and Wisdom Psalm 37:30. The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom , and their tongues speak what is just. Job 13:5. If you would be altogether silent ! For you that would be wisdom.

  18. Seek the Lord for Himself Alone It is so important to seek the Lord for Himself alone, and not for the things he can give us. He longs for us to abide in Him, to feast on His love. He wants to enjoy our fellowship with Him as our dearest Friend. Jesus lived and died so that we might have an intimate , growing, personal relationship with God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.   19. Relate to Jesus from the Heart Life and power flow only from Jesus. If you are not relating to God intuitively, but only intellectually , you lose your opportunity to flow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Mark Virkler

  20. Seek the Lord for Himself Alone God created us for the supreme purpose of having a love relationship with Him. God wants our friendship. Friends talk! The alternative to relationship is law. David a man after God’s own heart…..extravagant worship. Mary sat at the feet of Jesus.

  21. God’s Voice 1. Sounds like the voice of a shepherd. John 4 2. Can come like a still small voice. I Kings 19:12 3. Can blanket you like a “comforter.” John 14:16 4. Dwells with you and in you. John 14 5. Possesses all the wisdom of the Ancient of Days. Daniel 7:22 6. Speaks on its own authority. Matt 28:18.

  22. God’s Voice 7. Requires no other voice. Exodus 3:14 8. Feeds your soul. John 6:35 9. Guides you into all truth. John 16:13 10.Brings correction and conviction ,never accusation. Hebrews 12:6 11. Burns within your spirit as He makes Himself known. Luke 24:32 12. Imparts faith to obey Him. Luke 5:5

  23. God’s Voice 13. Exhorts you to a greater faith. Romans 10:17 14. Enables you to follow the spirit of the law. 2Cor3:6. 15. Brings you peace , not fear. John 14:27. 16. Satisfies your longing for Him. Psalm 119:103 17. Shines light on your path. Psalm 119:105 18. Remains consistent. Psalm 119:160 19. Always bears fruit. Isaiah 55:11 20. Is LOVE.

  25. Boxes to Rivers If we live by the Spirit, let us walk by the Spirit. Galatians 5:25 If you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Galatians 5:18 We serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter. Romans 7:6 The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free. Romans 8:2

  26. Boxes to Rivers Pray at all times in the Spirit. Ephesians 6:18 All our praying is to be IN the spirit( inspired , guided, energized and sustained by the Holy Spirit), otherwise, we are praying in the flesh.

  27. Vessel Voice of God is spirit to spirit communication. I am one whom another fills. I am a vessel , a branch grafted into a vine. I do not stand alone but someone else flows through me. I do not live but Christ lives in me. Galatians 2:20.

  28. Rhema and Logos Rhema is grounded in Logos. Logos is the written Word, the whole Bible. Rhema is the voice of God for the immediate time and situation.

  29. Rhema 1.Productivity: Luke 5:5. At your word( rhema) I will let down the net. 2. Ministry: John 3:34. For he whom God sent speaks the words (rhema) of God. 3.Life: John 6:63. The words( rhema) I speak to you are spirit and they are life. 4.Relationship: John 8:47. He who is of God hears God’s words(rhema).

  30. Rhema ( 2) 5. Teaching: John 14:10. The words (rhema) that I speak to you I do not speak on my own authority…but the Father. 6.Fullness of Desire: John 15:7.If you abide in Me and my words ( rhema) abide in you… 7. Faith. Romans 10:17. So faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word ( rhema) of Christ.

  31. TRUE REALITY True reality is the spiritual world. The Spirit directs through flowing thoughts placed there by the Spirit of God. Direction received by waiting on God. Out of the Spirit flows RHEMA. A Christian with a developed spirit flows with the power of the Spirit and is grounded in the LOGOS.

  32. Biblical Statement John 7:37-39 1.”If any one is thirsty.” Lord I am thirsty for your voice. 2.” Let him come to me.” Lord I fix my heart on you. 3.”And drink.” I tune to flow , drinking in Your words 4.”He who believes in Me.” I believe the flow within me is You.

  33. Habakkuk 2:1-3 1.”I will stand on my guard post.” Quiet yourself down. 2.”And I will keep watch to see”. Fix your eyes on Jesus. 3.”What He will speak to me”. Tune to spontaneity. 4.”The Lord will answer me ..Record the vision”. Write down the flow of thoughts and pictures.

  34. BLESS The Lord bless you and keep you . The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you . The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
