  4. How do fungi obtain food? 1. The fungus grows hyphae (tubelike/ root like) into its food source 2. Digestive chemicals ooze from the hyphae into the food Fungus Hyphae Food Source

  5. How do fungi obtain food? • 3. The digestive chemicals break down the food into small substances that can be absorbed into the hyphae. • So… it basically sucks its food up through its own straw.
