Copy from SoftLab • bb_cplab_ward • There is a parameter for the Ward field • Description:Multi-character string that defines the set of fields in Wards/Clinics setup that will be copied from SoftLab to Softbank. The presence of each character anywhere in the string indicates that the corresponding field is to be copied. • D = Ward Name T = Ward Type V = Ward Service s = Depot to site field in BB

  7. Copy from SoftLab Site Code with Satellite codes Unfortunately the "Source Codes" (Site) setup does not allow the setup records to be added as a "satellite" to another one. Site codes like "S1" might be entered as individual setup record. But there is no functionality which determines dependencies between "Source Codes" system records.

  8. Copy from SoftLab Once the reports are run, we can confirm that it was successful by going to SoftBank > MANAGEMENT > Daily Traces. Something similar to the example below should display for each report.   9. Copy from SoftLab This can be setup on the Print Scheduler with the “A” option Add & update BB database

  10. Copy from SoftLab Go into SoftLab Softlab->Util->Print Scheduler1. Right click on any folder and select New.

  11. Copy from SoftLab 2. Click on the checkbox “Add New Report Type”, add the name of the report type and click “OK”.

  12. Copy from SoftLab 3. Enter command line “$UDIR/bbs/bin/bb_getlabscc” and parameter name “Parameters”, flag “q” as shown below.Note: Confirm “Run on Main” is checked.

  15. Copy from SoftLab 6. Click on the checkbox “Add New Run Name”, enter the name as shown below and click “OK”.Note: Repeat this step for wards, phlebotomists and workstations

  16. Copy from SoftLab 7. Click on the COPY DOCTOR report run, and then on the “Setup Form” tab to add parameters as shown below. Enter “ -a -d”. Please note the space in front of the –a. Click Save.

  21. Ward/Clinic Setup • Inpatient wards – defines patient locations that directs ordering patterns. A floor or area for an inpatient facility. May be grouped for ordering / reporting needs. • Outpatient clinics – An area of consolidated outpatient care (doctors office, Nursing home) May be grouped for ordering / reporting needs. • Outreach client – clients with specific needs for grouping or billing. A unique MRN/Billing number prefix can be assigned to these typed of clients. • These settings control where reports print, controls billing, label printing, and order entry activities.

  22. Common Information General Tab – Flags 4.0.x • ID - A unique acronym of no more than 15 characters is a required field. The ID can print on the cumulative reports. • Name - The full name can be displayed on the single-sheet (RR format maximum of 42 characters. • Type – Emergency room/Group of clinics/Home Care/Inpatient/Outpatient/Nursing Home/Veterinary • Active – Non Active • Pre-Ops All abnormal results for Pre – op patients are automatically placed on the call list. • HIS/Salesman ID – This field is optional use for HIS Ward ID. • Area ID – Is used for grouping clinics and batch reporting. SOFT Bank utilizes this most often. A 5 character code is defined in the Medical Service field. ONCOL/OBGYN

Auto Reporting Options • Ward / Clinic Flags • Auto Report - used with Hosparam: PrGlobMode • Complete not printed – all results verified • Incomplete not printed – all chapters with at least test not printed verified or not • All not printed – All chapters with at least one test not printed verified or not. • Complete – all chapters with all results verified without regard to previous printing. • Incomplete – all chapters with at least one test not verified without regard to previous printing. • All– Prints all tests verified or not

Ward Flags Continued • Label at OE – Automatically prints labels at Order Entry for Inpatient wards • Generate MRN – Lis will create a MRN when not automatically added to an order • Skip Bill – this ward will be excluded from the LIS billing report • DX required at OE – Allow order entry with or without a diagnosis • Send results to the STAT monitor – send tests results to the OVERDUE Stat Monitor. (based on a Hosparam setting). • ROE – (if purchased)

Autoreporting Process • If this flag is set it overrides the HosparamSR_what_to_print • R = Routine • U = Urgent • S = Stat • T = Timed • P = Panic • Time ranges are separated by a colon – SRU0600:0900P – Stats/routines/urgent orders resulted between 6 am and 9 am and panic results should qualify to be autoreported.

Autoreporting Printer Hierarchy • Order entry level first when determining where to print – this printer is designated in the PRN field at OE. • Ward / clinic level - a specific printer can be defined in the printer and reports tab in the auto printer field where a single sheet report will be printed. • Doctor level – As long as the printer was not defined in the ward/clinic setup file the system will look at the doctor setup. • Default Printer – 4th level hierarchy – defined by setting stat_rep_printer. Only used when there is no setting under ward/clinic, doctor, or Order Entry. • Autoreporting server is setup and multiple servers may be utilized for a multisite facility.

Differences between versions • House Doc – Optional field that can be used to identify and populate the requesting doctor field. • Pre-op - designates pre op clinic to address all abnormal results to go to the call list. • Extramural client – allows only one stay per patient on this ward. Each stay is treated as a new patient registration which provides a unique billing number for the admittance. • MPI (optional purchase) is often used in accordance with the Extramural Client • License # - If this clinic is required to operate under a license.
