  2. Introduction • Sojourner Truth was one of the first women that lead for the African American women to have rights with the White women. • She was born into slavery and finally reached freedom in 1826. • Sojourner was an advocate for Women Rights and for African American and minority rights.

  3. Sojourner Truth’s Speech • Sojourner Truth is famous for her speech “Ain’t I A Woman” in 1851. • She talks about how African American women should be fighting together with white women. • She is also famous for her bravery and intelligence she had for being public about her beliefs.

  4. Women’s Suffrage • In 1848 the demand for the enfranchisement of American women was first formulated at the Seneca Falls conventions • In 1890 NAWSA was formed and that is the National American Woman Suffrage Association

  5. 19th Amendment • The Women Suffrage movement lead to the 19th Amendment. • This Amendment is the Right To Vote for Women.
