  1. nMRCGP • Work-Place Based Assessment = e-portfolio • CSA • AKT

  2. Reviews (of e-portfolio) • Every 6 months in theory BUT Last year ‘end of year’ review had to be completed by 6.6.08 i.e. at 10 months. So, 6 month review really needs to be at 5 months i.e. early January 2009

  3. What is looked at in a review? • Assessments • Learning log- regular and reflective entries Shared entries when read populate ‘curriculum coverage’ if validated, populate ‘professional competences’ • PDP – evolving document • End of year review is also your NHS appraisal (appraisal form 4 also completed)

  4. Curriculum • Have you looked at it? • Your ‘jobs’ all provide an opportunity to cover curriculum areas and demonstrate professional competences • This is what makes you doing an ‘O&G’ job GP training not ‘O&G’ training and it is learner-led i.e. up to you!

  5. Curriculum • Read relevant (think broadly) sections of the curriculum before starting a new job. • Make sure you are covering as many of the learning objectives as possible and talk to your CS and ES if having problems. • BUT – if you get a chance to learn more, do so. The curriculum defines the minimum not the maximum!
