Helping Each Other • We are funded by Comic Relief • We are funded until the end of 2015 • It is a peer education project • We want to stop people being sexually exploited • We are training people with learning disabilities in Plymouth and North Devon
Ground Rules • If you need to leave the room, let us know. • Phones off or on silent. • No swearing or bad words • Respect each other • Don’t butt in • Be on time
More Ground Rules • Look after each other • Look after yourself • Ask for what you need • It’s OK to make mistakes • Are there any more?
Confidentiality • Keep private things private • It’s OK to tell us things that are happening. • If you tell us bad things are happening we will have to pass that on.

What makes a good relationship? • In small groups list all the things that are good to do in a relationship, and all the things you should not do.

Sexual Exploitation • In small groups: • What is sexual exploitation?
Sexual Exploitation: what is it? • Sexual exploitation is when someone uses a vulnerable person for sex. • It is in return for something – money, drugs and drink or somewhere to stay for the night.
Grooming: definition • When someone tricks someone into thinking they are special or in a relationship. • The aim is to sexually exploit them in the future. • They often gain trust through giving presents, emotional support or food.
