Client Background Chad and Amanda were both in Sally (Birdsong) Shaw and Nathan Shaw’s wedding party, so they deserve the blame :). Amanda and Sally met while they were both Kappa Kappa Gamma’s and Chad and Nathan had grown up together. Chad and Amanda had both attended Texas A&M at the same time but didn’t exactly run in the same circles, Chad’s circle = the library, Amanda’s circle = NOT the library. Chad and Amanda hit it off at the post wedding day events, with a little help from the other groomsmen. He had just gotten back from working in the Middle East just the day before and his friends thought it would be good if a girl talked to him ( i.e. Amanda) since he hadn't even seen a female that wasn't wearing a Burqa (black head-to-toe 'ninja-outfit') in several months. Apparently it went well. Amanda and Chad kept in touch after the wedding while he went back to work in California and she went back to Dallas. They continued to talk for hours every night and three weeks after the wedding Amanda and Chad met in Las Vegas (about halfway between California and Texas) for their first official date. It went well. A month later Amanda quit her Dallas job and moved to California to be closer to Chad. A month after that Chad had to go to Dubai for work and Amanda flew out to visit him... and ended up staying for 3 months. It went well. In fact, things have continued to go well for the two of them and they've been inseparable... travelling all over the world together for Chad's job and loving each other's company the entire time. While traveling and being away from family and friends has been tough, thankfully they have been able to do it together and it has made their relationship even stronger. It has also proven to them both that they want to spend the rest of their lives together. Both the bride and groom expressed a desire for an intimate venue with a country-chic feel of modern styling mixed with a rustic elegance. They also wanted to incorporate their globe-trotting lifestyle into the event where appropriate while making the focus of the event the celebration of coming together with friends and family.
