Index gained strength on back of short covering, with the Nifty rising 95.40 points or 0.91percent to 10522. Bank Nifty outperformed ending the weekly expiry 1.29% higher led by strong gains in SBI, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank. The Nifty is holding 10500 level and if the Index sustains above 10,500 then short covering could continue towards 10,670 levels.
