  3. Memory Verse ISAIAH 6:8 “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’”

  4. RESPONDING TO GOD’S CALL • Make the right relationship with God • Rely upon God’s power STEPS WE NEED TO TAKE

  5. STEP ONE MAKE THE RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

  6. Relationship with God A. How did this encounter with the majesty of God change Isaiah’s perceptions and priorities in life? Isaiah 6:1-6 • Isaiah understood what he was really like in contrast to God • He felt his own unworthiness

  7. Relationship with God B. What was symbolized by Isaiah’s confession and the touching of his lips with the live coal? Isaiah 6:5-7 • Isaiah’s sin was purged or “atoned.” • He had to be made right with God first; only then could the Lord use him

  8. STEP TWO RELY UPON GOD’S POWER

  9. Isaiah immediately responded, “Here am I; send me.” If we are willing to work for Him, God will give us the power God’s Power A. How did Isaiah respond to God’s call? Isaiah 6:8

  10. God wanted Isaiah to call His people to listen, obey, and return to Him, to be healed The Bible is a call of God to return to Him God’s Power B. How are we to understand what God want Isaiah to do? Isaiah 6:9, 10

  11. SUMMARY • By making the right relationship with God • By relying upon God’s power WE CAN RESPOND TO GOD’S CALL
