The Gameplay • Service: The team that has the first serve starts the first set. The team that wins the first serve chooses the next service. The serve must be thrown to a teamate(Tekong) who then kicks the ball over the net. The serve must start as soon as the referee calls the score. The serve must go over the net and stay inside the court boundaries. The server can not leave the ground while serving. • After the serve players are not allowed to touch the ball with their hands or arms.
The Gameplay Continued • Players may not break the plane of the net unless they are in the follow through of the ball. • Players can not play or volley the ball more than three times in succession. • Players may not contact the net in any way or fall into the opponents side of the court. • The ball may not touch any objects outside of the court (ex. walls or roof).
How to Score • An official match is won by winning 3 of 5 sets. • When a fault is made a point is awarded to the opponent. • The first team to score fifteen points with a minimum lead of two points wins the match. • In the event of a 14-14 tie the first team to gain a two point lead or reach seventeen points is the winner.
