  2. TEMPUS Programme is a main EC instrument for the reform of the national HE system towards the EHEA

Main Achievements in MK are: • Restructured curricula at undergraduate and post graduate level, new study programs, new departments, new higher education institutions, modern laboratories and educational equipment, new teaching methods using modern technologies, relevant E-W and W-E mobilites, implementation of ECTS, joint studies and joint degrees; • Improved university management, international relations services, libraries, distance learning;

  4. Main Achievements in MK are: • Enhanced the university – enterprise cooperation through establishment of the Centers for Transfer of Technologies; • New structures for participation of the higher education institutions in Institutional building (Centers for training courses of governmental and professional associations); • Intensive regional cooperation; • Cooperation with other programmes: VET, FP DAAD, GTZ, MCHE, MCDE etc.

New Phase of the Programme • Tempus IV from 2007 till 2013 • Financed by multi – beneficiaries IPA (Instrument for Pre-Accession) • Strengthening of the regional and sub-regional cooperation • Role of the National Tempus Office as a promoter of the Bologna Process in the country • Managed by the Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture in Brussels

  6. New Phase of the Programme • annual budget for MK - 3.5 million euro • Programme actions: • I. Joint Projects - 1 call for proposals • (min. 3 Universities) • II. Structural Projects - 1 call for proposals • (networks of HEIs and non academic memb) • III. Accompanying Measures (calls for proposals, calls for tenders or framework contracts)

  7. New Phase of the Programme • Joint Regional Priorities for Western Balkan • Increased average grants for actions • First deadline in April 2008 • Information campaign for Tempus IV in January - March 2008
