  9. What God is Saying About Our WorshipIn the Holy Place Three Actions. Worship is... • Offering Your Praises to God. • Surrendering Your Will to God. • Submitting Your Mind to God.

  10. Worship is Offering Your Praises to God • 3 Items in The Holy Place • Table of Showbread • Golden Lampstand • Altar of Incense

  11. Inside The Tabernacle Tent 4 Layers of Covering Altar of Covenant Table of Showbread Altar of Incense Golden Lampstand

  12. Worship is Offering Your Praises to God • 3 Items in The Holy Place • Table of Showbread • Golden Lamp Stand • Altar of Incense • Entering the Holy Place, the priest is to praise God

  13. Worship is Uplifting God with A Sacrifice of Praise • We’re to offer a Sacrifice of Praise “Let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise – the fruit of lips that confess his name.” Hebrews 13:15 • The 3 items represent submission of our will, mind and emotions in giving praise to God.

  14. Worship is Surrendering Your Will to God Leviticus 24:5-9 • “Take fine flour and bake twelve loaves of bread, using 2/10 of an ephah for each loaf. Set them in two rows, six in each row, on the table of pure gold before the Lord. • Along each row put some pure incense as a memorial portion to represent the bread and to be an offering made to the Lord by fire. • This bread is to be set out before the Lord regularly, Sabbath after Sabbath, on behalf of the Israelites, as a lasting covenant. • It belongs to Aaron and his sons, who are to eat it in a holy place, because it is a most holy part of their regular share of the offerings made to the Lord by fire.”

  15. Worship is Surrendering Your Will to God • Bread is a Symbol of Strength or Our Will “…bread that sustains his heart” Psalm 104:15 • Showbread or “Bread before the Face of God” • Means our Will before the Face of God

  16. God Wants Our Will to Align With His Will • Your Will is the KEY in approaching God • Jesus submits His Will to His Father • “I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent Me.” John 5:30

  17. Symbolism of Table of Showbread

  18. Worship is Submitting Your Mind to God • Lampstand made from Gold • Mounted with seven cups filled with olive oil • Lampstand lit up the Holy Place • Light from Lampstand illuminates Holy Place

  19. God Wants Our Mind to Focus On Him • Light from Lampstand dictates what the Mind sees • Your mind cannot comprehend God’s promises except through your spirit • “For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him?” 1 Corinthians 2:11 • “No eyes have seen, no ears have heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-16

  20. Why Your Mind Cannot Understand God • Two Reasons: • Your mind has no knowledge of God’s promises • Your mind rejects the things of God “The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14

  21. How to Receive Things of God through your spirit • Renew Your Mind in Word of God • Train your carnal mind to submit to your spirit • Pray in the Spirit • Pray and interpret your tongues • “For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit … For this reason anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind … I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.” 1 Corinthians 14:2,13-15,18
