  2. Pictures of cooking with chocolate can evoke the five senses. • Sight: the viewer sees this photo series is going to depict baking cupcakes. In the end the viewer sees the final product, the ready-to-eat cupcakes. • Touch: the various textures in the process brings out the sense of touch in the viewer’s mind. • Sound: the viewer hearing the sound of the timer indicates when the cupcakes will be done. • Smell: the viewer can almost smell the chocolate radiating from the freshly baked cupcakes. • Taste: the eaten cupcake suggests the chocolate tasted yummy.

  3. This photograph represents the sense of sight because it the viewer sees that the photo series is about baking cupcakes.

  4. The motion of the electric mixer represents sound. • The different textures in the process of making cupcakes represents touch.

  5. The timer buzzes, indicating by sound that the cupcakes are done cooking.

  6. Smell is represented by the hot chocolate cupcakes fresh from the oven. • Taste and touch is communicated by the contrasting textures of the cake and the ganache frosting.

  7. The final product can be seen in the platter of frosted cupcakes. The half-eaten cupcake has been tasted.
