BLL Beccles Lido Limited We saved Beccles Lido • BLL raised £300,000 in 2 years • Over 100 Beccles volunteers spent 10,000 hours revitalising Beccles Lido • BLL has replaced or refurbished virtually every piece of operating equipment • BLL fixed the crack, lined and covered the pool and fixed a long standing leak • BLL installed Solar PV • Maintenance and utility costs have been reduced significantly • BLL removed the fencing, opened up to the river, provided sunloungers and picnic tables • BLL re-installed the spring board and expect to install a slide for 2012 • BLL realised its vision: If the Lido were made a nicer place to visit, more people would • use it and with more entrepreneurial management it would become sustainable
